Friday "Spring Fever" giveaway

How to dress up a necklace for spring

First, start with something such as a pearl necklace or any necklace you would like to dress up a bit. This white necklace is a vintage necklace my grandmother gave me.

Next find some ribbon or fabric that you love with spring colors in it.



Tie the ribbon/fabric to the top of the necklace.



Wrap the ribbon/fabric between every other bead tightly.




Continue this all the way to the end of the necklace, making sure to hold the ribbon/fabric pretty tightly.



Tie the ribbon off at the end.



Finish by making a bow!



And wahla! A beautiful spring necklace!

Things I Love thursday!

Today all I could think about was how spring is just around the corner!! In fact the first day of spring is on saturday! I will be celebrating by spending some much needed girl time in sutter creek california! Todays things i love was inspired by the wonderful warmer weather and colors of spring;)

Jewelry tip of the day

Here's a cool tip I found for keeping your jewelry looking fresh & great!

Don't toss those little silica gel packs that come with your shoes or electronics, in the trash! Instead, toss them in your jewelry box! They absorb moisture in the air which is a common culprit of jewelry tarnishing. Just keep them away from little hands!

I hope you are all having a great weekend! Don't forget to turn your clocks forward an hour for day light savings today if you already haven't! Spring is almost here!! Yay!
