I am drooling!

I went to visit my mom today at the hospital. She is looking great! Lots of color in her cheeks...hopefully she will be out by Tuesday. Thank you for all of your prayers! I wanted to wear this fun dress to brighten the mood, (hospitals can be kind of a downer ya know) it reminded me of a safari...hence the post title;) Have a great Sunday...I better get off the computer and study for my midterm tomorrow, ahh!!

Bodega bay inspired!

Today was a breezy day, not sure why I decided to wear shorts cuz I froze a bit..and I gotta get rid of these shoes! I Got them from kmart and they are super cute but not too easy on the feet:( but anywho I loved the look! White is always great to wear in the summer;)Plus it makes me look tanner ha ha:) Which reminds me, I need to go buy some tanning lotion so I don't look so pastey white all the time!

I'm a bit bummed I didn't get this post up sooner since It's what I wore yesterday...but I've had a lot on my mind yesterday & today. My mom goes in for surgery this afternoon. She just found out a couple weeks ago that she has cancer. If you could keep her in your thoughts and prayers it would be much appreciated! I Love you Mom...you are the strongest woman I know!!

I love love this dress to death!! I am 5"10' so I have always had an obsession with long dresses that touch the floor, if you are tall like me you understand it is something that is hard to find!! Sadly it is sold out:( I am on the wait list but I doubt I will ever get to own this beautiful floor skimming dress:(

Summer BBQ Attire

We went to the park today for Matt's Aunt's retirement BBQ party! We had a great time! Lots of food, family, and fun! We played a game called horseballs (like horseshoes but funner) have you heard of it? So I tried out a new thingy thanks to Elaine over at Clothed Much called the belted scarf...great to dress up a plain looking outfit anytime! Sorry the lighting is so horrible in these shots too much sunshine in da eyes!! I gotta get some better pictures..these are kinda sad:( I'm workin' on it!

What I wore today!

I have been reading so many fashion blogs lately...let's just say i'm a little addicted....well ok maybe more like a lot addictied (been going to bed around 2-3am!) So I've decided to jump on board and post some of my own daily outfits. I think it will help me to be more creative with what I have in my closet since I can't afford much of anything right now! Me and the hubby are dirt poor, I'm in college, and with Matt's recent health problems the past few years it has been a bit of a rough journey for us. Who says you can't be poor, joyful, and stylish??

This daily outfit post will help me to have a bit more sunshine in my life...help to make me smile and be more creative which always distracts me from having a frown on my face;) I will try to incorporate some of my handmade jewelry into the mix as well...it has always lifted my spirits! So here we go!!!
