Hi there, I'm Kendra. I'm an elementary education student, a lover of all things vintage, an avid thrifter, a jewlery designer, and a Latter-day Saint. I started this blog when the world I had once known began falling apart. At the end of 2008, a year after our blessed marriage, my husband (lovingly referred to as M) and love of my life had brain surgery to remove a tumor . During this surgery M suffered a debilitating stroke. M had to re-learn how to walk and talk again. I lost my job and M lost his business. At that point in my life I so needed a creative outlet to begin healing and somehow feel normal again. I started by re-kindling the passion I had for making jewelry (which M had ignited and encouraged while dating) and something healthy and refreshing began to emerge. I was finding a way out of the dark tunnel of confusion. I opened up a little shop on Etsy and began blogging.
It has taken 2 years and a lot of hard work, but M and I are once again thriving in life. We have overcome many obstacles along the way side by side, hand in hand, with a lot of love, and a little patience. We have so much life to live and feel so blessed. Please join me on my journey to create, and explore the world around me through fashion, art, food, and serving others. Life truly is an amazing gift!
“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”-- Ralph Waldo Emerson
