8 day round up

By now I should be on day 27 of Kendi's 30 for 30 challenge, So Sue Me!
I've been having a rough semester at school. Things are crazy right now with next
week being the final week of school. I am cramming for finals and pulling my hair out!!
I'm not sure how long it will take me to finish the challenge but maybe I'll finish it by
next year (if i'm lucky:) I also just realized my pictures are not in numerical order...can
you tell how stressed I am..aghhh! Thank you for all of your wonderful comments along
the way....you help me see the light at the end of the tunnel in this challenge;) I'm off
to make a whole butt load of cookies atmy MIL's house. It's our annual christmas cookie
making party!

Okay, so I'm kinda crazy for revealing my age...aww who cares!! I got this
creative idea from Elsie's cute blog! I pondered for awhile, scrached my
head, then created a list of 29 goals to accomplish before my birthday. I
have a fewmore months til the BIG 30, so we'll see how many of these I
can cross off my list before the party! I'll try to take some pics to keep
you updated on how I'm doing. I hope the hubby is planning something

spectacular...it's kind of a big deal;)

Sharing lunch with 3rd graders?

I'm lovin' my new red lipstick! Just got it today on sale at Walmart
for dirt cheap! It kinda makes me look pale and famished. I was
even offered a partial lunch from my cute third graders! I told them
my stomach was growling because their chicken sandwiches looked so
tasty (I skipped breakfast). A few of them immmediately told me they
would share their lunches with me....what sweethearts;) Of course I
politely declined the offer. Made my day! I can't wait to be a real teacher
when I grow up;) All this red is getting me excited for Christmas! 24 more
days and counting, literally, with our little Advent calendar;)

I'll try to keep this post short and sweet since I have tons of homework, and
should be doing it instead of blogging **shh...dont' tell hubby** I have been
so behind on the 30 for 30 I sound like a broken record now a days. So
I'm posting two outfits today, don't hate, what I wore yesterday and today.
I promise to redeem myself, just you wait and see! But before I sign off for the
evening I'd like to share a bit of Kendra fashion philosophy: when putting an
outfit together, it's not complete until you "Bust out some vintage!"

I'm a little behind on Kendi's 30 for 30 challenge, like 11 days behind *blush*,
and it's posing to be that much harder after eating a months caloric intake
in the space of 2 days! (yes we had a second thanksgiving feast yesterday for
a family members birthday celebration...can I get an AMEN!)

A few days of non-stop Jazzercise and maybe I can fit back into
my clothes, there's the real challenge, remixing is starting to look like pie...
well everything looks like pie today... maybe I'm hallucinating?
Better go take a nap and sleep this one off;)

New shoes

I finally got my new shoes in the mail today they are
sooooo comfortable, like walking on marshmellows!
New shoes make me smile:) Especailly when
they're free! Hubby said they would just end
up in my mound O' shoes pile. So what if they
do, I love my shoe pile!!

I feel so behind on my 30 for 30 outfits!! I'm only on #3 and

still 27 more to go! I haven't been taking pics because by the
time I get home from school and work the beautiful sunlight
has vanished:( My hubby suggested I set up a studio in the
spare room. For the time being this will have to do!

Let's paint the town.....or not

Ok... so I haven't been feelin so hot lately. I have like zero energy.

I literally had to pull myself out of bed and force myself to dress
up so my day would seem less depressing. I got some kind of bug
from the kiddos!

I love working with them...I just hate that I always
get their lovely germs;) Hubby wants to do something tonight but all
I feel like doing is curling up in a ball and watching chic flicks. I wish

I felt better so we could paint the town togetha! I'm dressed for a
fancy date but I just can't get myself past that gate!

Sometimes you gotta give em' the look

My early morning was spent in a third grade classroom (enter the smell of

stale breath and peanut butter). As part of my never ending pursuit for a college
degree I am entertained by 22 little munchkins who think they're 16.

To my surprise they had a substitute for the very first time,"Heaven help the
old lady!", I thought to myself as I stepped through the door. But boy was I in
for a sassy treat! This lady knew how to put the smack down on these kids. Left
and right she spit out orders like a general at boot camp. At first I was a bit
taken a back....I'm mostly a gentle hearted young woman and thought it to
be a bit harsh. Then a light went off, and I realized she might be on to something!!

So I decided to try out a wee experiment. The lovely rascal who ALWAYS gives me
a hard time in the class was my subject. The substitute barked at him..."sit down young
man!" To which he ignored. I walked up to him...cleared my throat and barked "sit down!"
To which he replied snottily (I think I just made up a new word) "WHY??" And then I
gave him the LOOK....you know the one that let's booger eaters know who's boss! He
sat down faster than green grass through a goose! Right then and there I
learned... sometimes you just gotta give em' the look ;) I think I might be gettin'
the hang of this teacher thing?

Happy 1st Birthday!!

Today is my Niece's 1st Birthday....where did the time go? She is the cutest thing ever and I'll have to admit I'm starting to get a little baby hungry...I won't reveal my age but let's just say the clock's a tickin' wink* wink*

Kick your feet up and relax

Today was a perfect day to relax...but in style of course! When I got home from a super busy day at school, I had a big cup of hot chocolate and sank deep into my super comfy couch;) What a perfect way to enjoy the first real day of fall weather here in Northern California! 100 degree weather is finally a thing of the past!

A lovely Sunday!

The weather was beautiful today...I spent this lovely sunday relaxing with my cute hubby! There was no regular church meeting today due to General Conference... so I watched it online;) I have been lucky enough to attend it live in Salt lake city for the past 3 years, but my bro & his wife are here in Cali visiting from Utah. I love the wonderful inspiring talks and of course looking at all the lovely modest fashionable outfits. Here are some super cute outfits spotted last conference by Shape Candy. 3 years deserves a trip to the Bay!

Last year we spent our 2 year wedding anniversary in the hospital:( Not my idea of a celebration! So Me and the Hubs decided this year we would make up for that by celebrating our 3 year anniversary somewhere cool! We decided to take a quick trip to San Fransisco city and Stinson Beach. If you have never been to Stinson beach, I highly recommend it!!! A beautiful beach town just over the Golden gate bridge. It is such a peaceful place to unwind and relax! I was also introduced to the delicious Mr. Oyster...how could I have been missing out on this yummy treat for all these years? Oh dear, I'm addicted!
